The Anglican Church of Rwanda is the Anglican Communion province for Rwanda and traces its beginnings to early twentieth-century missionary work connected to the Church Missionary Society. It now covers the country through a network of dioceses and has become one of Rwanda's largest Christian bodies.
The church uses standard Anglican episcopal governance. Wikipedia says the province is organized into 13 dioceses, each headed by a bishop, while the archbishop of Rwanda serves as both metropolitan and primate.
The dioceses range from long-established sees such as Kigali and Butare to newer units such as Karongi and Nyaruguru. Together they give the province a nationwide structure centered on cathedral cities and district groupings.
