The Anglican Church of South America is the Anglican Communion province serving Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. It was formed in 1981 as the Province of the Southern Cone, later adopted its current name in 2014, and became smaller in 2018 when Chile left to form its own autonomous province.
The province is an episcopal church made up of six dioceses distributed across five countries. Its presiding bishop currently also serves as diocesan bishop of Argentina, which reflects the relatively small size of the province and the close ties among its dioceses.
Wikipedia's diocesan list shows one diocese each for Argentina, Northern Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. Several dioceses are currently listed as vacant, underscoring how the province often operates with flexible regional leadership.
| Diocese | Country or region | Current bishop listed by Wikipedia |
|---|---|---|
| Argentina | Argentina | Brian Williams |
| Northern Argentina | Northern Argentina | Vacant |
| Bolivia | Bolivia | Walter Toro |
| Paraguay | Paraguay | Vacant |
| Peru | Peru | Jorge Luis Aguilar |
| Uruguay | Uruguay | Vacant |
