Episcopal Church in the Philippines
Intro
The Episcopal Church in the Philippines is the Anglican Communion province for the Philippines. It began in 1901 as a missionary district of the American Episcopal Church, expanded through missionary work and institution building, and became a fully autonomous province in 1990.
Structure
The province is led by the Prime Bishop, who serves as both primate and metropolitan archbishop of the whole church. Unlike many Anglican provinces, the prime bishop is not a diocesan bishop, which gives the office a more explicitly national role.
Wikipedia currently lists seven dioceses. They are spread across Luzon, Mindanao, Metro Manila, and the northern Cordillera regions where much of the church's historic mission work developed.
